Traveling

Well, a year later since I last posted - I should pay more attention to this blog. Rambo has traveled several times back and forth from FL to TN. He loves, loves, loves to ride. Even after the long rides, he wants back into the truck to go for more rides, so we take him everywhere we go up here. The neighbor has three little dogs - a Dachshund, and Maltese, and I think the other is a Maltese mix - he doesn't seem to bother with them too much - though he wants to try to hump one of them (the male) and he can't figure out how to do his domination thing because he's so tall and Dingus is so short! Long Ride

Rambo did better than I expected on the ride from Florida to Tn. I figured he wouldn't get back in the truck after the first stop... he is quite the stubborn pooch when he wants to be. But, he couldn't wait to get back in. I guess he figured we were on the way home. He rode well... he does love to ride. He wouldn't eat the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit we got him from mavdonalds, though. Guess he knows what is bad for him. Once we got up here, he did fine - even on the tie out. He's not used to being tied up, since we have a fenced yard at home. He gladly gets in the back of the truck at night, so we don't have to worry about him tussling with wild animals. We open the swcreens on the topper for him. He was ready to get out and get breakfast of sausage and eggs this morning. The one thing he is not used to is not being able to lay under the a/c vent.

Yeasty Ears

Well, mom had to take me to the vet a couple of weeks ago. Turns out I have an ear infection and a skin infection. She thinks it's because she fed me wheat. Dang - no more bread for me! I loved my bread and butter.

Well, I definitely don't like anything in my ear. I am a big handful when she has to put the nasty stuff in my ears. And there are three different drops, too! I try to back up, but then my butt gets stuck up against the wall. I forget that happens every time. Dang. Then she won't even quit it when I growl at her. Normally when I growl at people, they back off, but not her. She doesn't care. To hell with it, I'm gonna keep growling anyway even though I know she gets her way.

I went to the vet this past Tuesday for a check up and the vet said she can see half of my ear drum, so it must be getting better. I still have to have the stupid drops, though. Then she gave mom another bottle of stuff.

ZOMG I thought it was more stuff for my ears, but it was some special shampoo because my hair is all dry. I normally don't like baths, but since I am itchy I stood there and let her give me a bath. I even waited until she moved before I shook myself. What a good dog I am.

Well, I know I have to have more ear drops. Mom keeps saying that if I would let her get all the drops in my ears, this whole process would have been finished two weeks ago. I guess I just forget about that and give her grief anyway. Besides, it's kind of fun to give her grief.

Squeaky Ball!!

Well, it's been forever since I was able to sneak on the computer. Mom works from the house now--something about writing and editing. That means she's on the computer all the time She went outside to talk to the neighbor, so I got to sneak on here. She made a movie of me and my Auntie Kym's Secret Santa present--my all time favorite! Shhhh.... don't tell mom, but I like it cuz my cousin Athena stole it from Auntie Kym and was playing with it. Mom says it can't still smell like Athena, but I think it does! WoooooHOOOOO!

Mom likes to hide the squeaky ball in the soda boxes. The first time she did that, it took me a long time to get it out of there--that sucker just rolls around and every time I grab it with my big mouth, the stupid soda box gets stuck on my snot-locker, which causes mom to roll on the floor in fits.

I usually tear them up, but I managed to get it out of there this time without tearing the box up. AND I get get that squeaky ball out of there in less than five minutes now!

And while I'm at it, Athena, when are you gonna bring your sexy self over here so I can sniff your butt?? I'm getting tired of just sniffing the squeaky ball. I want the real thing!!
