Long Ride

Rambo did better than I expected on the ride from Florida to Tn. I figured he wouldn't get back in the truck after the first stop... he is quite the stubborn pooch when he wants to be. But, he couldn't wait to get back in. I guess he figured we were on the way home. He rode well... he does love to ride. He wouldn't eat the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit we got him from mavdonalds, though. Guess he knows what is bad for him. Once we got up here, he did fine - even on the tie out. He's not used to being tied up, since we have a fenced yard at home. He gladly gets in the back of the truck at night, so we don't have to worry about him tussling with wild animals. We open the swcreens on the topper for him. He was ready to get out and get breakfast of sausage and eggs this morning. The one thing he is not used to is not being able to lay under the a/c vent.

If you go on vacation frequently, you might want to look into a wireless fence, such as Havahart's Radial-Shape Wireless Dog Fence. I use this when I go camping since it's completely portable and easy to set up.
Here's the wireless fence I'm talking about:

That is a long haul! But dogs are pretty resilient, and having you nearby was reassuring for him. You're lucky to have such a good little traveller!
